About

The Q was born out of the desire to help people with developmental disabilities, acquired disabilities, and other community integration challenges to regain and maintain their independence.

The Q concentrates on training, research and delivery of quality of services; always focusing on the individual needs of the client. We believe that individuals with disabilities have the right to live healthy lives in the comfort of their current homes or in a new home of their choosing.  

The Q- Quality Services for Independent Living was founded in 2011 to help individuals trapped in nursing home placement to achieve independent community living.

The Q is contracted through the Nursing Home Transition and Diversion (NHTD) waiver and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Medicaid waiver programs in New York State. The Q serves qualifying clients in all five boroughs of New York City, Long Island, and the Lower Hudson region.

Services

The Q's main function is Service Coordination. We act as the hub in a wide-ranging network of custom-designed services for all of our clients. A client's Service Coordinator will be able to arrange for the following services:

Food Stamps Assistance

Social security application support

Pool trust
